If you are a fan of applesauce you are going to love this Slow Cooker Applesauce Recipe. We eat applesauce as a side dish very often at our house. I am almost certain we use a few jars per week. Sometimes I like to make homemade applesauce, especially in the fall. Home made applesauce is perfectly filled with flavor. Plus making your own applesauce is so simple. My favorite way to whip up a batch is to use our crockpot.
Slow Cooker Applesauce Recipe
We just toss the ingredients into the slow cooker and we have the most delicious homemade applesauce with almost no real work.
This Slow Cooker Applesauce is loaded up with cinnamon flavors. Perfect for Fall. We tend to have applesauce with our pork dishes, applesauce always compliments the pork.
During the fall we will see all varieties of apples in the stores. You could use any type of apple you like. Grab your Apples, Cinnamon, Brown Sugar and some lemon juice…it’s that simple.
3 lb Apples
1/3 cup Brown Sugar
1/3 cup Water
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1 tsp Cinnamon
Core and peel apples, then cut into small chunks.
Add all ingredients to slow cooker and stir.
Cook on Low for 7-9 hours.
You can mash if you like it slightly chunky or run through food processor or blender if you want it more smooth.
Store in air tight containers and refrigerate.
I keep a jar of this applesauce in the fridge for about 1 week (it never really lasts that long in our home).
