The Best Peanut Butter Brownies

Peanut Butter Brownies

If you are a fan of peanut butter desserts, like I am, you will want to bake these from scratch Peanut Butter Brownies. They are so simple to make. If you are typically a box mix person, do not let the from scratch scare you. These brownies without a mix are so easy to make. The prep time is minimal. The worst part of the process is waiting for them to bake.

Peanut Butter Brownies on a plate.

I have been sharing quite a few peanut butter recipes with you these past few weeks. My Peanut Butter Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting has been so popular on social media and also with the readers of my blog. Additionally, I updated my favorite 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies with new pictures and notes. I LOVE peanut butter and so does my family. Since I have been sharing so many of our favorite peanut butter recipes, I was anxious to share these AMAZING Peanut Butter Brownies. They are the BEST!

Peanut Butter Brownies with text

To make these chewy peanut butter brownies, you will need some basic pantry ingredients. You will also need some peanut butter chips to make them the same way I do. If preferred, you could use some chocolate chips or even some peanut butter and chocolate candies. It’s up to you. The recipe will be great with any of those mix-ins. I prefer my peanut butter brownies without frosting. If you would like, add on your favorite chocolate or peanut butter frosting.

Peanut butter brownies with peanut butter chips

Most peanut butter brownies you find around on the internet include chocolate. Others will make fudgy and peanut butter layers. I am sure those recipes are great. For this recipe, I like for the peanut butter to really be the star of the show. Have I mentioned how much I like peanut butter? I will often enjoy a spoon of straight peanut butter for a snack. YUM!

Can I make the Peanut Butter Brownies ahead of time?

For sure you can! You will want to store them in some sort of air tight container. I usually use a zipper bag with all the air removed.

Can I use this recipe to make Sheet Pan Peanut Butter Brownies?

I have not tried to make this specific recipe in a sheet pan as of yet. I am sure it would work great but the cook time would need to be less. If you should attempt the sheet pan method, watch your brownies closely. You will not want to over bake them. Also, if you do give it a try, let us know your results with a comment below.

Whoever commented that these didn’t have a good peanut butter taste and were dry must have made a different recipe. This recipe is ooey gooey peanut butter goodness. I made the recipe exactly as directed and these have a fudgy consistency and are decadent. My bag of Reese’s chips only had 1 1/2 cups of chips, so I had to open a second bag to get the 2 cups but when I make these again I’ll do the same thing because it was worth it. ❤️

A bag of peanut butter chips has 1 1/2 cups of chips. This recipe calls for 2 cups of chips. Is that right? Thank you!

Hi! This looks amazing, but I wanted to know, if I make them ahead of time, can I freeze them?
    Thank you!
