This homemade St Patrick’s Day Gum Drops Recipe is so fun and perfect for the holiday. Having fun sweets for our candy dish for holidays is always a must. We made Valentine’s Day Gum Drops a few weeks back, they were so popular. I think I enjoyed them more than the kiddos. Plus I found that they get even better after a few days, ha ha! So, time to hide myself a private stash.

St. Patrick’s Gum Drops Recipe

Since St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, lime gum drops in a shamrock shape are perfect. Great for a party candy. A sweet treat with Irish flare!

These homemade Gum Drops can be made in any flavor and any shape. I find them perfect and plan to make them for every holiday now. We all like them so much. They are so inexpensive and simple to make.

Homemade Gumdrops for St. Patrick's Day- A super easy and fun recipe that is great for just about any holiday.

The ingredients for DIY Gum Drops are so simple. Just grab some plain gelatin, flavored gelatin, applesauce and sugar!

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups Applesauce
2 1/4 cup Sugar
2 boxes (3 oz) Lime Jello
2 envelopes Unflavored Gelatin {like Knox}

Homemade Gumdrops for St. Patrick's Day- A super easy and fun recipe that is great for just about any holiday.

DIRECTIONS
Grease 13×9 pan.
Combine all ingredients in a pan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Boil for a minute.
Pour into prepared pan and refrigerate until set.
Dust cutting board with sugar.
Use a spatula to loosen sides and turn out onto cutting board.
Dust top of Jello with sugar.
Use shamrock shaped cookie cutter to cut out gum drops.
Roll edges in extra sugar and set onto wax paper for 1 hour to dry out slightly.
Store in an airtight container.

Ingredients

I love that they have applesauce in them, so we can convince ourselves that they will count toward one of the 27 or so fruits and veggies that we’re supposed to eat every day!     1. Hi Kelly! Thanks much! We thought they were quite adorable too! I found my cookie cutter set at a local bake supply shop. I did add a link to a set that is available on Amazon that is very similar to the one I have. We are looking forward to making some little Easter bunnies and carrots for our kiddos Easter baskets this year. I think they will be adorable. Have fun making yours and thanks for dropping by.
