  • Raspberries – You can go with either fresh or frozen for this recipe.
  • Olive Oil
  • Red Wine Vinegar – If you can find any, experiment with using some raspberry vinegar instead- I’m curious to hear how it turns out!
  • Dijon Mustard

How to make our Raspberry Dressing

Nine times out of ten, if you go ahead and throw your ingredients into a food processor or blender, your vinaigrette will turn out alright. This is a very simple and forgiving recipe but, if your dressing comes out tasting metallic, bitter, or just plain off, here are a few tips that might help:

Raspberry dressing ingredients in a blender

  • Use a different/lighter olive oil – Good olive oil, unfortunately, doesn’t hold up too well in high-power blenders and processors. If your good olive oil is messing up your vinaigrette, you can try subbing in a cheaper and lighter oil. To save yourself a trip to the grocery, try cutting some of your Extra Virgin stuff with a neutral oil like vegetable or grapeseed.
  • Blend everything except your oil first – If you blend your oil too fast for too long, the flavor’s going to be ruined. You can cut down on the amount of time to oil is in your processor or blender by pre-blending the other ingredients first!
  • Add the oil in dashes and process slower – You can also just treat your vinaigrette a bit more gently. Run your processor or blender on a lower setting and carefully stream in your oil to keep it from going bitter and metallic.

Is Raspberry Vinaigrette Healthy?

Our Raspberry Vinaigrette recipe is very healthy! While it might be a bit high in sugars, most of those sugars are natural from the berries. This isn’t even mentioning the health benefits of eating raspberries- plenty of vitamins and minerals. Lots of doctors and dietitians recommend including raspberries in your diet- this dressing is an easy way to add them. Delicious and good for you!
