Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal
Cool fall mornings always have me craving a hot breakfast. Making traditional breakfast items with a bit of pumpkin always cures my cravings. Last week, I made Pumpkin French Toast for the family for breakfast. They loved it! I was making myself a dish of oatmeal after I sent the kiddos off to school this morning and decided that pumpkin oatmeal would make for a comforting breakfast.
Since Pumpkin Oatmeal can be made with traditional oats, milk, pumpkin puree (I have many, many cans in the pantry), and homemade pumpkin pie spice, this recipe is so super simple.
I had my breakfast made in just a few minutes time and even managed to snap a few pics before it had a chance to cool off. This recipe had the perfect amount of sweetness and the perfect amount of pumpkin flavor.
You can make your own pumpkin oatmeal right on your stove top or even in the microwave like I did. The pumpkin and the sugar and spice just need a bit of additional heating to incorporate in the oats. I did add on a bit of whipped topping to my bowl after I took pictures. It just added a bit more creaminess. YUM! Super simple and loaded with great flavor.
