Even if you are not a fan of fruit salsa you will need to give this Fresh Strawberry Mango Salsa Recipe a try. My hubby and I have both never been huge fans of fruit based salsa. Call us traditional peeps I guess, ha ha. We have always just made Tomato Based Salsa. That was until this past weekend. I had a few mangos left over from my yummy Mango Lemonade and I was needing a salsa for our grill out (yup we refilled a fresh propane tank and grilled out when that warm weather was in town, ha ha). I decided it was time to make a fresh fruit based salsa for us to try.
Fresh Strawberry Mango Salsa Recipe
The hubby and I are officially addicted to this Fresh Strawberry Mango Salsa. The flavors of the strawberry, the mango’s and jalapeno just all blend so well together. My hubby who is picky about fruit really LOVED this salsa. I think it is officially a keeper. I even made a second batch Sunday evening to place in a mason jar for the hubby to snack on when he is wanting chips and salsa this week. We both had some for a late night snack last night and it still tasted fresh yummy.
This Fresh Strawberry Mango Salsa Recipe is so quick and easy to throw together. Just a few ingredients and a few minutes time and you have an AMAZING salsa to enjoy. We paired this salsa up with some traditional store bought tortilla chips. You could also make Homemade Tortilla Chips. I was running a bit behind so I just purchased ours.
1 pint Strawberries
1 large Mango
1/2 cup chopped Cilantro
1/4 minced Red Onion
1 Jalapeno, minced
Juice of 2 Limes
1 tbsp Honey
Finely dice strawberries and mango.
Place ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Now that we are fans of this Strawberry Mango Salsa I plan to try making a few other fruit salsas. It is so difficult to get hubby to eat fruits. Give this recipe a try yourself. I am positive you will not be disappointed. The flavors are perfect!
