If you are needing an easy but fun breakfast idea these Heart Pancake Skewers will be perfect. Super simple pancakes in a heart shape stacked with strawberries and whipped cream to make a Pancake Kabob. Make your pancakes from scratch or you can even snag some frozen pancakes for this idea.  These will be perfect for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day breakfast or ANY day.

Heart Pancake Skewers

I have been on a breakfast kick lately. I think having fun breakfasts for my kids always makes for a better day. Our French Toast Cups, French Toast Roll-ups and these Heart Pancakes have been their favorites. My kids are a sucker for novelties. I am not quite sure where they get that from, ha ha!

If you are looking to make these Heart Pancake Skewers you just need to make up a quick batch of pancakes or head to your freezer for a box of the prepared pancakes. Then grab your favorite fruit and some whipped topping. You can make your own or even grab store bought.

Heart Pancake Skewers- Super simple breakfast idea. Perfect for Valentine's Day or even Mother's Day breakfast.

INGREDIENTS
8 oz Strawberries
Pancakes:
1 cup Flour
2 tbsp Sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1 beaten Egg
1 cup Milk
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
Whipped Cream:
1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
2 tsp Sugar

Heart Pancake Skewers- Super simple breakfast idea. Perfect for Valentine's Day or even Mother's Day breakfast.

DIRECTIONS
Wash and hull strawberries.
Slice into heart shaped slices and set aside.
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In a separate bowl whisk together milk, egg and oil.
Add wet ingredient to dry and mix until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or pan over medium high heat.
Pour 1/4 cup batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
Brown on both sides.
Use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
Whip cream and sugar until stiff peaks form.
Transfer to piping bag.
Alternate pancake slices and strawberry slices and top with additional stawberries and secure with a skewer.
Top with whipped cream.
