This Easy Apple Cider Glazed Donuts Recipe is going to be perfect to enjoy this fall. Perfect for breakfast or for a dessert. The other day my hubby surprised me with a gallon of Apple Cider. I have anxiously been anticipating cider arriving in the stores. So when he arrived home with the gallon he was quick to comment with “You can finally have your cider”. I personally think he was tired of me checking for it each and every trip to the grocery, ha ha! We have been enjoying so many apple recipes like our Caramel Apple Cupcakes and of course our CopyCat Starbucks Spiced Apple Cider. But… fall just can not be fall without Apple Cider.
Easy Apple Cider Glazed Donuts Recipe
I was super excited to enjoy a glass of cider. I like to enjoy my cider with powdered donuts. I took a quick trip to the grocery store and enjoyed some cider with powdered donuts for dessert. While shopping at Remke I found a bunch of managers special Pillsbury Biscuits. I knew they would be perfect for making some quick and easy donuts for the hubby and kiddos to enjoy. Plus I knew cider makes a great apple cider glaze to dress up a basic cinnamon sugar donut.
This glaze was simply amazing. A very simple glaze filled with great apple cider flavor. YUM! I had these ready to enjoy in just a few minutes time.
These Easy Apple Cider Glazed Donuts are so simple because the donut is made from a simple grand biscuit. So easy.. no mess and so quick!
INGREDIENTS
1 can Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
1 cup Powdered Sugar
3 tbsp Apple Cider
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 cup Sugar
Vegetable Oil for frying
DIRECTIONS
Heat oil over medium heat to about 350.
Combine cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar in a shallow bowl and mix well.
In another bowl, beat powdered sugar and apple cider with whisk until smooth.
Separate dough into 8 biscuits.
Using small cutter, cut hole in center of each.
Place biscuits in hot oil and fry each side until golden brown.
Remove from oil, dust in cinnamon sugar mixture and place on cooling rack.
Drizzle each donut with glaze.
