Ingredients for Cinnamon Spread

  • Butter – I imagine you could also use margarine here if that’s your preference…
  • Confectioner’s or Powdered Sugar
  • Honey – Make sure you’re using real honey here!
  • Cinnamon – You can mix things up a little here if you’re adventurous. If you’ve ever had an apple cinnamon butter, consider adding in some apple pie spice in place of the cinnamon. You might like it more!

How to mix Honey Cinnamon Butter

Making this honey butter is really simple! First, get all of the ingredients together in a bowl- it’ll be a lot easier if the butter’s at room temperature already.

Once they’re all together in a bowl, just mix your ingredients together until smooth. If you have something like a stand mixer or a hand mixer, this job is super easy.

To improve the texture of your butter- especially if you’re serving it right after mixing it- consider starting your mixer on a low speed. After letting the butter mixture come together on the low speed, crank the speed up to high and whip your butter for an additional few minutes. Mixing this way should make butter that’s especially light and creamy- perfect for warm, fluffy rolls!

How to store Honey Butter

Once mixed, this honey butter should last a decently long time in the fridge. Stored well in an air-tight container in your refrigerator, this spread should last around a month before it starts going bad. Though, I would try to use it all before that point while the flavors are still good! Optionally, you could also store it in the freezer for a more long-term storage solution- I’d say it’ll stay good for around three to four months this way.
