Hosting a party may sometimes feel overwhelming, especially on Thanksgiving Day. Most of us focus on all of the appetizers, the main dish and sides. I know I have had many of times when I forgot to prepare a tasty beverage. Add this Thanksgiving Punch Recipe to your holiday menu now, before you forget!
I often serve this punch or my Holiday Punch Recipe for our fall and winter get-togethers.

This punch for Thanksgiving is so incredibly quick and easy to make. You will just dump the ingredients into a pitcher and stir-stir-stir. It’s a versatile Thanksgiving beverage recipe that can be served over ice or warmed on the stovetop or crockpot. This is a non-alcoholic fall Punch. If you are wanting to make it a boozy punch you can add a caramel infused vodka, or even your favorite bourbon. If you would like to make this a Thanksgiving Sparkling Punch add champagne or sparkling wine instead.

To serve our Thanksgiving Day Punch recipe hot or warm, place your beverage mixture into a pan on the stove top and stir-stir-stir. Would you rather your punch warm in a slow cooker ? Same process. Dump all ingredients into your crock and stir-stir-stir. The apple cider pulp, pumpkin and the pumpkin pie spice will separate when being left unattended. So you will need to stir well before serving.

To make your punch fancy for Thanksgiving or a party, add garnish like apple slices, whipped cream or fresh cinnamon sticks. I personally prefer the apple slices (I dip them in a bit of lemon juice to prevent them from browning). I rarely serve this fall flavored punch without the cinnamon sticks. They allow your guests to be able to stir their beverage as the ingredients tend to separate after awhile.

Ingredients for Easy Thanksgiving Punch

You’re not going to need many ingredients to throw this Thanksgiving Punch recipe together. Unless you’re making a spiked punch, this is a quick 4-ingredient recipe. Here’s all you’ll need:

Ingredients for Easy Thanksgiving punch.
  • Apple Cider – To make things easy, we went with this store-bought apple cider from Kroger. You’re more than welcome to make this recipe with our Homemade Apple Cider instead! If making apple cider from scratch for our punch, maybe use less sugar in your cider recipe.
  • Caramel Syrup – Check your grocer, my Kroger had a private selection Caramel Syrup. Not to be confused with stuff like caramel sauce or caramel topping, I have never tried those with this recipe.
  • Pumpkin Puree – Libby’s pure canned pumpkin or any similar brand product will work fine here.
  • Pumpkin Spice – Don’t have any of this sitting around? See if you have the five-spice blend we use in our Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice recipe instead.
  • Garnish (optional) – Apple slices and cinnamon sticks. Also consider orange slices, whipped cream, cranberries. Make it fun for the kids with whipped cream and orange or fall themed sprinkles.

See recipe card for quantities.

How to make Thanksgiving Punch

Another big plus to this Thanksgiving Punch recipe is that it’s really straight-forward and light on dishes! We mixed ours up in a measuring cup but you could easily build it right in the pitcher you’re serving it in. Here’s all you have to do:

  • Measure out your apple cider. Again, you can keep building this in a measuring cup or in the serving pitcher.
Adding caramel syrup to the apple cider in a extra large measuring cup/bowl.
  • Add in the caramel syrup and give a quick stir to combine.
Adding pumpkin to the apple cider caramel mixture.
  • Follow up by adding pumpkin puree. You might need to mix vigorously in order to break down the pumpkin into the drink.
Adding pumpkin pie spice to the pumpkin caramel apple cider mixture.
  • Once the pumpkin is mixed in, add the pumpkin pie spice in next.
Whisking the Thanksgiving Punch.
  • From here, all that’s left is to give everything a thorough whisking to combine. Serve over ice and optionally garnish with apple slices and/or cinnamon sticks.

Storage / Freezing

Storage: If you’ve got any leftover punch (which is highly unlikely because it’s so GOOD), you’ll want to store it in the fridge. Consider discarding any apple or cinnamon garnish before transferring to a resealable container. Punch will keep refrigerated for 3-5 days.

Freezing: Even though you can freeze punch like this, it’s probably not worth the effort- especially with the pumpkin puree. Transfer to a freezer-safe container and keep frozen for 6-12 months. Our punch for Thanksgiving is so easy to whip up and keeps well enough in the fridge, so we’d recommend avoiding freezing to keep things simple.

Tips for the BEST Thanksgiving Day Punch

  • Do not be alarmed if you notice your spices or pulps separating in your punch bowl, pitcher or glass. Stir the punch well before serving.
  • Prevent your punch from becoming watered down. Serve the ice on the side vs in the pitcher or bowl.
  • If garnishing with fruit, add those just before serving for the best presentation.
  • Make the punch ahead of time and chill in your refrigerator. Just remember to give the Thanksgiving Punch a good stir-stir-stir, lol.
  • My recipe is for 4 servings. If serving a crowd, choose an appropriate sized punch bowl or pitcher and double/triple the recipe.
