We have our fair share of chocolate lovers in our house- myself included. There’s something so lovely about the simple sweetness of some good milk chocolate or a well-made chocolate dessert. Perhaps the biggest appeal is that you can make really good chocolate desserts without too much effort or work. Chocolate Cream Pie is one such dessert, and this Triple Layer Chocolate Cream Pie recipe is a definite winner!
First things first, our chocolate pie recipe is a no bake, which is already a big plus. If I can let the fridge do most of the work for me, I’m a big fan! Then there are the different layers of fillings all working together. We’ve got cheesecake on the bottom, chocolate pudding in the middle, and some whipped topping on top! Don’t forget that Oreo crust! It all plays off of each other very well, giving us a simply delicious dessert.

Ingredients for Triple Layer Pie
Oreo Pie Crust – You can find this in some stores, but you can click that link to check out our homemade pie crust recipe! Great if you can’t find the crust in a store near you.
Cool Whip – A whole, 8oz container will be perfect for whipped top layer!
Chocolate Bars – We’re going to grate these for a shaved chocolate topping.
Cool Whip – We’ll only need 4oz- or about half a container’s worth.
Chocolate Pudding Mix

How to make No Bake Chocolate Pie
We’ll start this recipe off by mixing up our cheesecake-style filling for our bottom layer. For that, we’ll first need to beat together our cream cheese and sugar.
Once you’ve mixed that until it’s creamy, smooth, and consistent, we can add in our Cool Whip. Gently fold your Cool Whip in with your cream cheese mix to keep the filling light and airy.
Once you’ve folded those two together well, you can carefully transfer it to your waiting pie crust. That’s one layer down, just two more to go!
Our next layer is going to use that pudding mix. Add it in with your milk.
Now we’re going to mix the pudding mix in until no clumps remain and we get a nice, smooth pudding mixture. An electric hand mixer makes the job easy!
With that mixed up, we can add it to our cream pie. Carefully spread a layer of the pudding mixture over your cheesecake layer from earlier.
Now, this pie wouldn’t be complete without a delicious whipped topping top layer! A whole 8oz container of Cool Whip will give us the perfect amount of topping for this pie.
The top layer looks a little plain, so we’re going to add a garnish of chocolate shavings. For that, first, put a milk chocolate bar in a freezer for 10 minutes. You could use a grater, a vegetable peeler, or a chef’s knife for this job!
Once those 10 minutes have passed, pull your chocolate and shaving tool from the freezer and prepare your garnish. Generously sprinkle your chocolate shavings over the whipped top layer and then transfer your pie to the fridge to set for at least an hour. Once set, feel free to hack off a slice and enjoy!
Triple Layer Chocolate Cream Pie
- 1 Oreo Crust
- 2 box 3.4 oz Instant Chocolate Pudding
- 2 1/4 cup Milk
- 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar
- 4 oz Cream Cheese
- 12 oz Whipped Topping
- In a bowl beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until fluffy
- Fold in 4 oz whipped topping.
- Spread mixture in pie crust.
- In another bowl, combine pudding mix and milk.
- Beat until it begins to thicken.
- Spread mixture in another layer over cream cheese layer.
- Top with remaining whipped topping.
- Garnish top with shavings from chocolate bar.
