    Slow Cooker Chex Party Mix

My hubby loves Chex Mix. It happens to be his number one snack on our family movie nights. I can make a big batch in the slow cooker and it will last him for about a week. I find it perfect for feeding a crowd. I made one batch to serve our guests over the holidays. It is always the first appetizer to deplete. The salty and savory flavor combination is perfect.

The big game day is just around the corner. This party mix will perfect for snacking during your parties. Heck… it’s great any time.

I use three different Chex cereals for our Slow Cooker Chex Party Mix. I then add in some pretzels, Cheez-Its, and peanuts. If I have Cheerios on hand, I will toss them in sometimes too. For the added flavor, we use butter, Worcestershire, garlic and onion powder. It is so super simple to make. All ingredients are tossed in a large slow cooker (mine happens to be a 6 quart) and cooked. So EASY!

    INGREDIENTS
    3 cup Rice Chex
    3 cup Corn Chex
    3 cup Wheat Chex
    2 cup Mini Pretzels
    1 cup Peanuts
    1 cup Cheez-Its
    6 tbsp melted Butter
    1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
    1 tsp Garlic Powder
    1 tsp Onion Powder

    DIRECTIONS
Place all Chex, pretzels, peanuts and Cheez-its in slow cooker.
In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, worcestershire, onion and garlic powder until blended.
Pour liquid over dry ingredients and stir to distribute.
Cook on high for 3 hours, stirring once or twice per hour. Be sure to not miss this step or your snack mix will burn.
Transfer to baking sheets to dry out for several hours.
