How cute are these Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats? A few years back the we decided to let the kiddos have their friends all over for a Halloween party. They had not had Halloween parties since they were quite young. Being the cute food crazy mom that I am I insisted they let me choose the food if they were to have a Halloween Party. I pitched the idea of Pumpkin shaped Rice Krispie Treats to each of them. Amazingly they all agreed that they would be perfect (yes, they agreed on something, ha ha). Needless to say these cute little pumpkins were a hit with everyone.
Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats Recipe
This past weekend when I was making up some of my other fall goodies the kiddos were begging the hubby and I about having another Halloween party and recalled the cute Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats that I made for their past party. I was not the push over that I normally am and totally blew their idea of a Halloween party down the tubes ha ha. The thought of a house full of teenagers dressed in Halloween costumes really had me stressed. Since I turned down their brilliant Halloween party idea I figured I would surprise them all with those cute little Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats. They are so quick and easy to whip up and really put me in the Halloween spirit. Are you looking for a special treat for a Halloween party? If you are consider throwing together a patch of these little guys.

So adorable. I love how easy and fun this recipe is. :) Visiting from Happiness is Homemade.
Loved it. Kids loved it.
Used a chocolate chunk for stem and icing for leaf and vine.
I just couldn’t get mine orange enough. But they were still a big hit.
Making these tonight for my daughter’s daycare Halloween party! Too cute! I’m sure the kids will love them!
Fun recipe, thank you!
My 5 and 4 yo had a great time measuring, shaping the pumpkins with buttered hands, unwrapping all the tootsie rolls, and putting them together. Kind of a built in fine motor activity :) And really yummy!
Pumpkin Rice is looking so delicious. I am going to make it tonight for my family. Thank you for sharing.
Just made these super easy!! Used frosting as my leaves and added a vine
I just made these and got 30 from one recipe. Mine are small, about 3 inches across. I used orange food dye, about 10 drops, and they are the perfect color. I dumped them out of the pot to let them cool off a bit and after about 1 minute, started to form them using butter on my hands. Then I went back and pressed them together more tightly and put in the tootsie roll stems and the leaf. These I had already set up so as not to waste time. I separated the tootsie rolls in 2 by twisting them so there was a point for me to insert them in the pumpkin. The leaf was already laying with the stem so I could insert them together. Very cute item!
Just made these for my daughter’s pumpkin party at school, turned out super cute!!! Can’t wait to hear what the kids have to say :) thank you so much for the fun, festive and most importantly easy to make treat.
Easy peasy and super cute! I found this recipe easy to follow and I think they turned out really cute! For those saying it’s super messy, color wasn’t right, etc, watch the video -I think that really helps. I used mini Reece’s for the stem, mini M&Ms for the leaf and gel icing for the vine.
So easy and quick!! Definitely spray a little Pam in your hands as you’re rolling them so they don’t stick as much. Then about 15 minutes after I rolled them and gave each an extra squeeze with wax paper to make sure they were tight. I was surprised how easy these were to make!!
These are so cute! Be prepared to use A Lot of food colouring to get a nice orange, and have baking spray on hand to coat your hands periodically, but still worked great!
