Walking Tacos are a classic bit of fair food with all your favorite taco toppings. These tacos in a bag are great for game days or party food!
Tacos are one of those things that I think everybody loves- I definitely haven’t met someone who hates tacos. Maybe it’s just hard to hate something so simple: it’s juicy meat and melty cheese with some tortilla as well- add in your favorite toppings as well. Tacos are great, and maybe that’s why someone had the wonderful idea of making them more portable. That’s right, we’re making everyone’s favorite fair food today: Walking Tacos!
Tacos in a bag are a fun way to enjoy all your favorite taco flavors while on the move. Usually, you could make these at a local fair, but these Walking Taco Bags also make for tailgate food, a great game day snack or feeding a large crowd as party food. Everything’s all contained in the bag, which means clean-up is easy- especially if you’re using some disposable plastic forks. Best of all, it tastes just like a plate of tacos, maybe even better- again, who doesn’t like tacos?
If you’ve got a big picnic, potluck, or party coming up, these Walking Tacos might be perfect for the occasion! The kids will definitely love them but this definitely a recipe for all ages. Young or old, you’re definitely going to love them!

If you liked these Walking Tacos, chances are you’ll love our Frito Pie Casserole. It’s a very similar dish with a few big differences: one, we like to make this like a casserole in a baking dish and, two, we use a chili instead of taco meat. The result is something a lot more melty and comfort food like that’s still just as good!
Of course, you could also make up a dish of our Taco Casserole as well. We tried to cram as many of our favorite taco flavors and ingredients into cheesy and saucy casserole dish that we could! The result is a delicious baked dish that’s very simple to make and hands-off so you can relax and make dinner easy.

How to make Walking Tacos
Brown the ground beef and use it to make taco meat.
Add taco meat to bag of crushed Doritos or Fritos. Close and shake to combine.
Toss in preferred taco toppings. Close and shake to combine once again before eating with a spoon or fork.
The only real “prep” you need to do is to make your toppings and cook up some taco meat. For taco meat, just brown some ground beef in a skillet, drain off excess fat, add water and taco seasoning, then cook off the water. Dice the veggies, cut the lettuce, shred the cheese and all that’s left is assembly.
Toss the ingredients into the bag with the crushed chips, close the bag up, and give everything a good shake to combine. Open the bag back up, grab a spoon, and enjoy!
