What you need for 5 Ingredient Dip

  • Garlic Powder

Ingredients for Potato Chip Dip

How to make Potato Chip Dip

As long as you have a good hand or stand mixer nearby, this recipe should be one of the simplest you’ve made! Here’s all you need to do:
  1. Beat softened cream cheese until fluffy.
  2. Add your chili sauce and seasonings to the cream cheese before beating together.
  3. Cover and let refrigerate your chip dip for a couple of hours before serving.

Beating the cream cheese for dip

Once you’ve given your cream cheese a chance to soften, there really isn’t all that much left to the recipe. First, beat your cream cheese until it starts looking fluffy. Once it’s fluffy, you can add in the chili sauce and seasonings.

Chili Sauce and seasonings added to cream cheese

Beat those in until everything’s blended together into a cohesive chip dip and then transfer to your serving dish. Smooth things out and then cover the dish and transfer to the fridge to chill for a couple of hours. Once it’s had a bit to cool, pull it from the fridge and serve up with some chips or veggies. Enjoy!

How long does chip dip last?

Since this is a cream cheese chip dip, we want to treat it like we would any dairy-based dip. That means you shouldn’t keep it much longer than 3-4 days in the fridge. Also, because dairy doesn’t freeze well, we wouldn’t recommend freezing this stuff either. Thankfully, it’s so easy to make ahead of time that you won’t have to worry about long-term storage!
