Since Summer is starting to swing on through again, I’m certain many of us are eager to start entertaining guests and throwing parties again. We’ve got all our delicious barbecue recipes and desserts picked out, we’ve got some of our favorite appetizers made up. But, chances are, you’ve forgotten one of the most fundamental parts of your appetizer spread: a good potato chip dip. Instead of relying on a ranch packet or some premade stuff from the grocery, try making up some Easy Chip Dip!
Chip Dip is such a simple but necessary thing for any party: it’s a safe, go-to appetizer for many folks. That’s why it’s helpful if you make something delicious from scratch. Thankfully, making Homemade Chip Dip couldn’t be much easier- especially with our recipe for it! Starting with a cream cheese base gives a bit of a tangy flavor but, more importantly, it helps keep your dip nice and creamy.
Add to that cream cheese some chili sauce and any number of seasonings and you’re bound to have a good Homemade Chip Dip that tastes perfect. This dip is great for all sorts of potato chips- especially the thick, wavy ones like Ruffles chips- but you could also dip with pita chips, corn chips, or any number of delicious and healthy veggies! Whatever you dip with, we’re certain you’re gonna love this recipe.

Cream Cheese – Make sure you let it soften before starting this recipe!

How to make Potato Chip Dip

Beat softened cream cheese until fluffy.

Add your chili sauce and seasonings to the cream cheese before beating together.

Cover and let refrigerate your chip dip for a couple of hours before serving.
Once you’ve given your cream cheese a chance to soften, there really isn’t all that much left to the recipe. First, beat your cream cheese until it starts looking fluffy. Once it’s fluffy, you can add in the chili sauce and seasonings.
Beat those in until everything’s blended together into a cohesive chip dip and then transfer to your serving dish. Smooth things out and then cover the dish and transfer to the fridge to chill for a couple of hours. Once it’s had a bit to cool, pull it from the fridge and serve up with some chips or veggies. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup Chili Sauce
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy.
- Add chili sauce and seasonings. Beat until blended.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Serve with chips.
