These Chocolate Covered Cinnamon Bears are just like those you find at the high end candy stores at a fraction of the cost. Just one bite and you will be in LOVE! My daughter is a big fan of a specialty online candy shop that sells chocolate covered cinnamon bears. I was going to purchase her an overpriced 1 lb bag but the cost was outside my Valentine budget for each of my kiddos. I set out to make her some homemade chocolate cinnamon bears for a Valentine Gift. I knew it would be super simple and save a bundle.

Chocolate Covered Cinnamon Bears

First, I set out to locate some cinnamon bears at the local stores. I had luck at my first stop… Meijer! I grabbed a 1 lb package and chocolate dipping for under $8. Perfect!

The cinnamon bears have a soft center so combining them with chocolate is just perfect! I did slightly chill our bears before dipping so the chocolate would bind quicker. I LOVE that trick!

INGREDIENTS
1 lb Melting Chocolate (for dipping)

DIRECTIONS
Either line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or wax paper or if you have a piece of floral foam use that.
Insert a toothpick in the bottom of each bear.
Melt chocolate by microwaving for 45 seconds, stirring and repeating until melted and smooth.
Dip bear in chocolate to coat and then tap toothpick on side of container to shake off excess chocolate.
Stick bear in foam or place on prepared pan and allow to cool.

After dipping all of our little bears I tossed them into two small glass jars I had picked up at Target for around $1 each. Wrapped a bit of ribbon and Voila I had two perfect Valentine gifts for my princess.
