Caramel Apple Cream Cheese Crescent Ring
During the fall months, we love all things apple and pumpkin. There’s nothing better than turning on the oven on a cold day to make some awesome fall recipes. The house always smells amazing when we have something baking.
Since fall is just around the corner, we have started to enjoy fall apple desserts. School started for my kiddos this past week so it’s almost like fall has already started for us.
Quite often, I will make our super easy Cherry Cream Cheese Crescent Ring to have for breakfast or an evening dessert. It is so simple and everyone loves it. Since I have apples on the mind lately, I decided to make a Caramel Apple Cream Cheese Crescent Ring.
Apples, Caramel, and Cream Cheese happen to be 3 of my favorite things. So adding them to a crescent ring sounded perfect. Oh boy… Was I right. My ring turned out amazing and I know we will be making this new version frequently.
This ring will feed quite a bunch of people. So it will be great for all your fall gatherings.
All that is needed to make your own Caramel Apple Cream Cheese Crescent Ring is crescent rolls, store bought or Homemade Apple Pie Filling, store bought or Homemade Caramel Sauce, cream cheese, some sugar, and vanilla. You can have this ring in the oven in no time at all.
INGREDIENTS
2 cans Crescent Rolls
8 oz softened Cream Cheese
21 oz Apple Pie Filling or Homemade Apple Pie Filling
1/4 cup Caramel Sauce or Homemade Caramel Sauce
1/2 cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
1 cup Powdered Sugar
1 tbsp Milk
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350.
Beat creamy cheese with sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
Unroll crescent dough and separate.
On a pizza pan place triangles overlapping with long pointed ends outward. So that there is about a 6″ circle left in the middle of the pan.
Spread apples over the lapped dough area.
Drizzle caramel sauce over apples.
Spread dollops of cream cheese mixture over the apple filling.
Fold pointed ends of crescents over the filling and pinch into lapped dough to seal.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Mix Powdered sugar and milk until smooth glaze forms.
Drizzle glaze over ring.

Does this need to be refrigerated after due to the cream cheese?
This looks delicious. Congratulations on being featured on Funtastic Friday!
I wanted to love this, but it’s way too much apple pie filling and cream cheese. Takes much longer than suggested to brown on top and dough was still raw in the middle. Had to throw it all out, major waste of ingredients.
Make and assemble on baking paper while the pizza pan is heating up in the oven, once hot slide paper with the apple ring on to pizza pan then bake.
How do you correct the raw bottom??
My oldest child, grandson and have dinner together on Sunday. One cooks dinner and the other one cooks dessert. Today was my turn to cook dessert but I wasn’t sure what to make. After thinking it over, I decided to scroll through my pins and came across this recipe. Everyone agreed this was the one to try. I made the apple pie filling using honey crisp apples which was delicious by the way. I also made the caramel sauce but it did not come out to my liking so I didn’t use it on the ring. I also remembered Misty saying she baked her ring for 20 minutes and her dough was still raw on the bottom so I used 2 pans to conduct the heat and the bottom crust was just as golden brown as the top. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. It was absolutely delectable.
I am in the process of making this recipe. I baked it at 350 for 20 minutes. It looked delicious but the bottom was raw. So I covered the top foil and i’m rebaking at 300 until the bottom is done. This should prevent the top from over cooking.
I made the Apple Ring, I made the Apple Pie Filling with 4 Granny Smith Apples, peeled an cubed then simmered in all the spices until almost tender. I took it to our Family Christmas Dinner and Wow, was it killer!!!! Everyone was raving over this dessert! The Caramel and Cream Cheese sent this over the top! So easy to make! I put a dish in the middle filled with grapes and snips of boxwood and Rosemary! Sorry, I forgot to take a picture…it was beautiful!
Thank you so much for posting this wonderful dessert!!!!!
Does our pie filling recipe make enough for this? I have a can of cherry pie filling. I suppose that would work? just leave out the caramel?
Hi Suzi! Any pie filling should work great! I actually have a cherry version on the blog. My family loves it!
Yum! I’m drooling just looking at the picture. Thanks for sharing on Merry Monday. Pinned and will be featuring this apple recipe.
This seems like the perfect dish to bring to a fall party or football party! Pinning! Thanks for linking up with Merry Monday this week – I’ll be featuring your crescent ring at our upcoming party.
I am licking my screen :)
This is absolutelymy patents and kids most favorite thing for me to make now!!! It is so deliciously good!!!! I didn’t have Carmel sauce once, SEO use those little camel apple dipper containers, my oldest and my dad said it wasn’t the same at all. So could have been just them, but it was a !little different. Loved your easy to follow pictures! By far the best recipe directions ever….little to y thing I did, I sprinkled. !little cinnamon on top of my all!es before the car el, especially if I bought cheap can of apple pie filling, other then that followed exactly and itconti yes to be made regularly !!!! Thanks so. Such!!!
You may want to go over your recipe, there are some mistakes. Like you keep calling it cherry instead of apple. And where it says a 6 inch circle, you put 6?. Also if you put the cream cheese mixture on before the apples, the bottom would bake much better.
How many days in advance could I make this?
I made this for our church homecoming last Sunday. It looked wonderful but I was so embarrassed when it was cut. The bottom was uncooked dough. what did I do wrong? It looked done on the top. Help?
Hi Grammy! I am sorry that you had uncooked dough. This could be from variations in ovens. If you should attempt to make this again, I would be sure to check your bottom crust. I will quite often toss on some foil to prevent the top of whatever I am cooking from getting to dark if I notice something is not browning or cooking throughout. I am so sorry you had this issue.
Same thing happened to me! Raw dough on the bottom, completely cooked on top!
I want to make this but if I may be honest it seems like the raw dough is a real issue and not being addressed. Not this many people have oven problems. This is only thing keeping me from making it. There’s no definitive answer. Thank you and it does look delicious
Make it on a bigger sheet and donโt overlap the dough too much, cooked mine about 25 mins!
I also saved the Carmel for the drizzle after cookingโฆbecause first time it all ran out and ruined my pan!
This looks AMAZING! I can’t wait to try it. Yum. Pinned.
yes please, I need a slice with my coffee right now
This looks amazing! Pinned it so I can find it later. (vising from Welcome Home Wednesday)
