This Poolside Slush is sure to cool you down on hot summer days. We make it with frozen pineapple and a blue Kool-Aid. So super simple to make. An easy, colorful and refreshing beverage.
Poolside Slush
Making slush drinks like a Caribbean Slush, Raspberry Lemonade Slushie, or even a Tropical Slush is so easy. This Poolside Slush is even simpler than those slushie drinks I have shared with you in the past. This slushie has a bit of color from the blue Kool-Aid and the optional few drops of blue food coloring.
I am looking forward to cooling down with drinks by the pool this summer. I am sure many of you are as well. Having fun drinks that the kiddos enjoy is always a must for us. Making this Poolside Slush with fresh frozen pineapple is one of my kids favorite summer drinks.
Ingredients to make Poolside Slush:
- Fresh Pineapple Frozen
- Blue Kool-Aid or Blue Hawaiian Punch
- Sugar for Kool-Aid
- Ice
How to Make Poolside Slush
First, you will need to start by making your Kool-Aid according to package directions. My favorite flavor to use is Berry Blue or Blue Raspberry Lemonade.
Add the frozen pineapple, ice, and Kool-Aid to a strong blender. I use my Vitamix and it is strong enough to make a great slush. I give it a few pulses making sure that the pineapple is blended well. If you should like your slush much bluer, add about 5 drops of blue food coloring. Then enjoy!

Poolside Slush
Ingredients
- Medium Fresh Pineapple, peeled, cored and cut into chunks then frozen
- 1 package Blue Kool-Aid or Blue Hawaiin Punch
- 1 cup Sugar for Kool-Aid
- 1 cup Ice
Instructions
- Make Kool-Aid according to package directions.
- Add Kool-Aid, frozen pineapple and ice to powerful blender.
- Pulse until slush is formed.
It was tasty, but we had to halve the kool-aid and add the whole pineapple to it. It was really watery otherwise.
So, add the water to the Kool aid like you were making it to drink?
I love a good slushie, especially when it’s hot. Thanks for sharing on MM. Pinned and will be featuring this.
Can you use just pre bagged frozen pineapple?
I would think so. The recipe does call for FROZEN pineapple. I think she is suggesting that you use a fresh pineapple because it might taste better when freshly prepared, instead of already frozen sitting in the frozen section of a grocery store for God knows how long.
Yes that is what I did!
