Frozen Lemonade Ingredients
-
Strawberries – Go with frozen here for the best texture.
-
Lemons – We need the juice from a few of them.
-
Sugar
-
Food Coloring – Just to give it that extra bright, vibrant color. You can omit this if you’d like.
How to make Frozen Strawberry Lemonade
-
Blend the frozen strawberries and some ice into a slush and add to your glasses.
-
Clean the blender before blending the lemon juice, sugar, food coloring, and more ice into slush.
-
Layer the lemon slush over the strawberry slush in the glass before garnishing and enjoying.
Blending up your strawberries should be simple: just add your frozen strawberries to a blender with a bit of ice. Pulse until those come together into a nice, consistent slush mixture- if it seems dry, add a splash of water and give another pulse. Once mixed, add it to your glass and clean out the blender and start on the lemon mixture.
For the lemon mix, you’ll need the juice from about 4 lemons- aim for about 3/4 cup of juice total. Combine that juice with your sugar, a couple of drops of optional food coloring, and plenty of ice. Pulse that mixture until it becomes a slushie like the strawberries.
Now you can layer the lemon over the strawberry- optionally do this at an angle for better presentation. All that’s left is some garnish: a fresh strawberry and a lemon wheel look great here! Drop-in a straw or two and enjoy.
