These are not my words these are my husband word ” Man it was REALLY REALLY good”. I can taste something over and over again that I make and not be sure it’s good. But when you make it for others and they tell you how good it is. Then you have some worth making again.

I worked at Chick-fil-A for 3 years, and never was there ever any nutmeg used. The one that commented about them using chicken nuggets was correct. We also used any fillets that were left over. We had to scrape off the extra breading, but of course there was always some left on the chicken. I am convinced that this is why Chick-fil-A’s chicken salad tastes like no other!

Chickfila uses their fried nuggets for their chicken salad. They use the leftover ones as well as cooking ones just for this purpose. As a former employee this surprised me when I found out! :-)

Exact ally Nutmeg the secret ingredient that if you have sensitive taste buds it stands out immensely !!! I was looking for this in all the copy cat chickfila chicken salad recipes but no one puts it in there and this cannot be left out if you are going to make a copycat recipe for this recipe. That is a huge amount! A pinch would be sufficient for this recipe. Don’t ruin your chicken salad.
