Cadbury Egg dip in a bowl for Easter

Cadbury Egg Dip

Cadbury Creme Eggs are a classic candy treat that everyone seems to stock up on around Easter time each year. It’s easy to tell why: chocolate and sweet, sugary creme is definitely a winning combo! When it came time for me to start thinking about Easter dessert recipes, I had these mini Cadbury eggs on hand. So, I made this delicious Cadbury Egg Dip with some Cadbury Mini Eggs.

Graham cracker in mini egg dip

This tasty dessert dip is often made made with Cadbury Creme Eggs. However, I used these Cadbury Mini Eggs instead. These Cadbury Eggs have this crisp sugary shell on the outside of a solid milk chocolate core- I felt it would work better in this dessert dip recipe. For the delicious dip base I used cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar.

Pair this dip up with some graham crackers (Annies has adorable bunny crackers that work perfect) or some good wafers and you’re in for a treat! It’s the perfect balance of chocolate and creme without being too sickly sweet like the Cadburry Egg filling can be if you have too many. I’m definitely going to make another bowl of this stuff once Easter swings around- our family and I ate this one up quick! I’m sure you all are going to love it.

  • If you’re looking for more fruity flavors, we’d recommend this Raspberry Fruit Dip. It uses a similar base of cream cheese and powdered sugar but it’s flavored with a touch of lemon and laced with plenty of fresh raspberries. So simple to make and it works great on a fruit tray!
  • Another fruit dip that we love to make is our Pineapple Dip. 4 ingredients are all you need to make to a large bowl of this stuff that’s perfect for feeding a party! This refreshing tasting fruit dip is perfect for all your spring and summertime parties and BBQs.
  • I love the taste of Creamsicles, so I took those flavors and made this delicious Orange Creamsicle Dip! We use the zest and freshly squeezed juice from a couple of oranges to make this dip taste bright, fresh, and sweet. Dip into it with some fruit or, like my kids, some vanilla wafers.

Cadbury Dip Ingredients

  • Cream Cheese
  • Butter
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Whipped Topping – Like Cool Whip.
  • Cadbury Eggs – Instead of the classic Cadbury Creme Eggs, we went with with these Cadbury Mini Eggs. These ones have a solid milk chocolate interior with a crisp sugar shell on the outside.
You’ll also want something to dip into your complete Cadbury Egg Dip. We went with some Annie’s Bunny Grahams, but you could just as easily use some normal graham crackers or some Nilla wafers or even fruit!

Cadbury Dip Ingredients

How to make Cadbury Egg Dip

This Cadbury Egg Dip comes together quick and easy! Here’s all you need to do:
  1. Cream together the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla before slowly beating in the powdered sugar.
  2. Fold the creamed mixture together with some whipped topping until fully combined.
  3. Chop up Cadbury Eggs and fold them into the dip. Transfer to serving bowl and let chill in the fridge before serving.

Butter, cream cheese, and vanilla in a bowl

We’ll start off by making the “base” of our dip. For that, we’re going to cream together some cream cheese and butter- along with a little splash of vanilla extract. Once those are creamed together, start slowly beating in the powdered sugar.

Powdered sugar added to creamed butter mixture

Eventually, you’ll have added all the powdered sugar and will have this fluffy mixture. To that mix, we’re going to add our whipped topping and fold everything together, making sure we don’t deflate the whipped topping too much.

Cool Whip added to sugar mixture

All that’s left for us to add is the Cadbury Eggs. Over on a cutting board, give the eggs a quick rough chop. Reserve a few whole eggs and some of the chopped ones for topping.

Chopped mini Cadbury eggs

Take the eggs and toss them in with the dip. Fold everything together once again.

Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and top with reserved eggs. Put the dip into the fridge to chill for an hour or two.

When it’s time to serve, pull the Cadbury Dip from the fridge and serve up with some graham crackers or wafers for dipping. Enjoy!

    1. Hi Amy! I have not made it without the butter but, I would think it would still taste great. Let us know if you make it without butter.
