Baked Apple Pork Chops

During the fall months, I really enjoy making dinners that include the flavors of the season. Apples are always my favorite to cook with. Pork and apples always make for a great flavor combination. Last week, I made our Slow Cooker Apple BBQ Ribs.

I always stock up on apples during the fall months. I am constantly craving apples dipped in my Easy Caramel Sauce for a snack. Plus, I tend to do quite a bit of baking during the fall months with apples.

Since I had some extra apples on hand and I also had some pork chops, I knew I could throw together another apple and pork family dinner. This pork dish was full of some really awesome flavors that are so perfect for fall or any time of year.

My kids are not onion fans but really liked them combined with the apple flavors. The onion cooked down well and took on all the wonderful pork and apple flavors.

To make this recipe, you will need Pork Chops (bone-in or boneless would both work). I used apple cider in our recipe but you could also use apple juice to get the additional flavor. The dish comes together quite quickly. I feed a large family and this recipe made 8 very large chops. You could easily half the recipe for a smaller sized family.
