Snickers Salad
Today’s recipe combines two of my favorite things about the fall season: sweet apple recipes and Halloween candy. Apple salads are some of my go-to side dishes during autumn and there’s plenty to pick from on our site alone! They’re usually on the sweeter side and the one we just made isn’t too different- it is made with candy bars if you haven’t noticed. This Snickers Salad is going to be perfect, especially around Halloween time!
Like most of our apple salads, this Snicker Apple Salad starts with a sweet and creamy base- this time, made with instant pudding and whipped topping. To that, we add plenty of chopped Snickers and apples. Top with more Snickers and some caramel topping and you’re done! If that sounds easy, that’s because it is. It always surprises me how some things that are so easy turn out so good! This Snicker Salad is a recipe we know you all are gonna love- give it a try.

If you’re looking for a classic, look no further than our Waldorf Salad recipe. This is the perfect side dish for Christmas or Thanksgiving: loaded up with plenty of fruits, Craisins, and nuts. Our spin on this traditional recipe uses yogurt in place of mayo which is certain to make it a favorite!

For something that’ll taste great at your next grill-out, go with our Apple Slaw. Snicker Apple Salad Ingredients
-
Apples
-
Snickers Candy Bar – King size, fun size, snack size- any of these will work for our Snickers Salad!
-
Instant Vanilla Pudding – Use the smaller size box for this recipe.
-
Milk
-
Whipped Topping – Like Cool Whip.
-
Caramel Ice Cream Topping
How to make Snickers Salad
-
Whisk together milk and pudding mix and fold with Cool Whip until combined.
-
Add in chopped apples and Snickers before stirring to coat and combine.
-
Let salad chill in the fridge for an hour before topping with Snickers bites and caramel topping.
Before getting started on the pudding, we ought to get the apples and Snickers prepped first. Chop your snickers down into bite-sized pieces and set aside. Do the same with your apples and optionally toss with a bit of lemon or lime juice to keep them from browning.
With that out of the way, let’s move on. Start by whisking together the milk and the instant pudding mix until they’re fully combined.
When that comes together into one mix, we’re going to add in our whipped topping. To keep things fluffy, try to fold the pudding and topping together- we want to keep it light and airy!
Again, since we’re trying to keep this fluffy, we’re going to add our apples and Snickers and fold them in. Make sure they get a nice coating of that pudding/Cool Whip mix!
All that’s left for our Snickers Salad is to toss it in the fridge for about an hour. Once it’s had a chance to chill, top it with any remaining Snicker bites and that caramel topping. If you’re wondering “Can you make Snicker Salad the night before,” then don’t worry: this stuff will last a good 2-3 days in the fridge before getting mushy. Hope you enjoy!

Love this salad but every time I make it, it’s SO runny.
How many will this feed?
In Canada Cool Whip comes in litres, how much do you think this would be equivalent to? Is 8oz, literally a cup?
I love love love this salad. However, I’ve always used the pistachio pudding instead of vanilla.
salad??? my teeth hurt just thinking about this. why add more sugar and processed food to the candy you’re trying to get rid of? it lasts forever so just portion it out or throw some away while the kids are at school.
What size pudding box? 5.1 oz or or 3.4 oz?
Hi Vanessa! I just fixed the recipe. It would be the small box (3.4 oz). Hope you give this salad a try. My friends and family have loved it!
How do you pin a recipe is the pin symbol isn’t there?
I was wondering if this could be made ahead a time due to the apples maybe turning brown? Thanks!
You can put the apples in a lemon-lime soda, that will keep them from turning brown. The apples can stay there until you are ready to use them.
Simply bathe your sliced, cubed apples in lemon juice and they won’t turn brown.
The Snicker Salad recipe calls for 1 container cool whip (16oz.). However in the picture, the container shown is 8oz. What should be used?
Hi Steve! Thanks Much for letting me know so I could fix that! It was an 8 oz container I used in this dish. I appologize for the confusion.
