When the days start getting hot every summer, I’m always glad that we have a good blender on hand. A high-power blender is capable of making all sorts of stuff from tasty blender soups to cool, refreshing blender drinks. We’ve made a few before on the site, and today we’ve got a new one for you folks to try: a Cherry Pineapple Slush!
Even when it comes to blended drink recipes, this is still a super easy one. The ingredients list is kept nice and short and making the drink is as simple as tossing everything in the blender! What’s not to love when a delicious, refreshing slushie is just a few pulses of the blender away?
This Cherry Pineapple Slush is the best parts of a pineapple and a cherry slush in one drink. Blend up a tall pitcher of this stuff and serve it up at your next grill-out or pool party- it’s an excellent party drink! If it’s an adults only kind of party, maybe even add in a splash of rum or vodka for a bit of extra flavor and kick. However you serve this blender drink up, we know you’ll love it!

How to Make a Slushie in a blender
-
Mix up the Kool-Aid, following the instructions below.
-
Combine the Kool-Aid, pineapple chunks, and ice in a high-powered blender.
-
Pulse and blend until slushie forms and your desired consistency is reached.
After mixing up your Kool-Aid, you’re ready to start blending things! To a high-powered blender, add your Kool-Aid, pineapple chunks, and some ice. Start pulsing until a slush starts to form.
From here, it’s just getting the right consistency. To thicken your slushie up, add some more ice. Want to thin it out a bit? Add a bit more water or some leftover Kool-Aid. Once you get to the right consistency, transfer your slushie to some awaiting glasses. Optionally garnish with some maraschino cherries and/or pineapple chunks and enjoy!

Could you use strawberry koolaid for this recipe?
I would make up regular strength Koolaid and make icecubes out of that. This way it does not water down your slushie and leaves you with the cherry flavour until the very end. I will be making this once I can cross to the USA again to get the Koolaid packets.
I seem to have missed how much vodka goes in?
Haha I’d say the amount of vodka added would vary according to your plans post consumption!
