Caramel Apple Taquitos

I have shared a few of my favorite apple recipes with you this past week. Fall and apple season will be here before we know it. Summer is wonderful but cooler days and fall comfort food is always great too! I made our yummy Caramel Apple Pie Cookies that were so yummy. The kiddos like those best. That was until I made these tortilla roll-ups with caramel and apple pie filling.

I made one batch and my house smelled so amazing. The kiddos could smell them baking and could not wait to get their mitts on them. They were gone within a few minutes time. I thought they made for an amazing dessert with my afternoon coffee.

My kiddos love most everything that is a roll-up. Their favorite sandwich is Grilled Cheese Roll-ups. I knew these Apple Pie Taquitos would quickly become a favorite too. I know I will be making quite a few batches this fall.

These apple roll-ups are so simple. I used store bought tortillas (you could also use Homemade Tortillas), store bought apple pie filling (or Homemade Apple Pie Filling), as well as store bought caramel. Super simple so they can made when you are pressed for time.

My husband rated these 9 out of 10, he loved them. I thought mine looked very different from the pictures and the tortillas were very soft, there wouldn’t be any way a person could hold them to eat. Your pictures look more crispy than mine, I’ll try toasting them in the oven more. But this recipe is definitely a keeper.

  2. I have made these several times always a hit! Does anyone know if these can be made a few hours early and back when it’s time to serve?

  3. Hello! I’m wondering if I can make it with corn tortillas. I have a package and I need to finish it.🙄😏

  4. Wow! I only have fresh apples on hand at the moment. Can I use freshly diced apples and how long should I bake? Covered or uncovered? Wouldn’t want to burn the tortillas.
