Easy Cherry Lush
During the warm months, I tend to make desserts more often. Desserts that are easy to make and kept in the refrigerator are always best. I have been so anxious for warm weather lately. It feels like spring is never going to officially arrive here in Cincinnati. Last week, when we were teased with a warm day, I made the made the most delicious No Bake Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake. It made me long for summer even more, ha ha.
In the past, I have made the most amazing Lemon Lush Bars. They are always perfect during the summer months. The whole family really likes them. I had some cherry pie filling hanging out in my pantry so I decided it was time to make a cherry version.
When I eat cheesecake, I always like cherry topping. I guess it is traditional so I always seem to stick to what I know I will like. Since I like cherries with my cheesecake, I knew a Cherry Lush would be amazing. I can confess that I was licking the bowl while making this dreamy dessert, lol. I just couldn’t wait to try all the flavors together.
I started with the same basic crust for this lush as I did with the Lemon version. I topped it with a layer of cream cheese mixture. Then added on some simple boxed cheesecake pudding, cherry pie filling, and some whipped topping. Oh… I added on some chopped pecans too! They were not needed but added a bit to the topping.
Lush desserts are always so tasty. The layers of yumminess always make for wonderful desserts. They are great for potlucks, bbq’s, or just to have for an after dinner dessert.
If you decide to make my Cherry Cheesecake Lush, you could use a graham cracker crust, a Nilla crust, or even an Oreo crust. The flavors of any crust can work with the cherries and the cheesecake.

This looks TDF! Could you use a short bread crust? Thanks in advance
This came out excellent. Cherries are my favorite. So fluffy and delicious
This is good. You might have to go to a larger grocery store to find the pudding mix but it is worth it. I will make it again.
