Copycat BJ’s Pizookie
This Pizza-Cookie is one of those desserts that delivers both cuteness and yumminess. If you have never had the chance to enjoy a Pizookie or Pizza Cookie as it is sometimes called, now is the time. You can whip this tasty dessert up in no time at all, right at home. No need to rush off to an expensive resturant to enjoy this tasty dessert.
BJ’s restaurant and a few other chains serve up these delish cookie that are made in a pan. They are perfect for sharing with a small group. There is no way to eat this pan of filling cookie all by yourself. I will admit that I did make a couple of these over the weekend and I have been nibbling on the one I made for myself. It will probably last me a few more days, lol.
The ingredients that are needed for this CopyCat BJ’s Pizookie are the same ingredients you will find in any basic chocolate chip cookie recipe. You will just be making all of it in a cast iron skillet or other round baking dish. The most difficult part in making your cookie will be watching it bake, ha ha. It only bakes for a few minutes but seems like forever. The chocolate chip cookie aroma will have you craving cookie.

There is nothing better than a chocolate chip cookie a la mode. I even added on some chocolate sauce to kick up the deliciousness but it really is not needed.

I’m sure this will taste delicious, but learn from my experience and don’t mix the whole thing in the skillet. Maybe there are deep dish cast iron skillets, but I evidently do not have one. I had a flour mess all over the place and had to finish mixing by hand. Adding the chips was definitely a challenge, and the best I could do was fold some dough over on top of them.
Next time, I’ll put melted butter in a bowl, mix everything, and then, spread into the skillet.
This looks awesome!! Do you have the recipe for their strawberry shortcake pizookie??? I’ve been looking everywhere for it and can’t find it anywhere!!
Can we update the picture. Had one at BJ yesterday; serving pan is different; no chocolate syrup. So good.
Would love to try this, but would like to know how much it yields
I may have to make this again. If you’re one to follow directions, note that you should take the skillet off the heat after melting the butter, or you will have scrambelled egg cookie. Also, check for doneness after 10-15 minutes. I did 20 and it came out dry and cake-y.
I love BJ Pizookie, can’t wait to try it. Now to look for a 8” frying pan or pan.
Indeed, this seems hot for a cookie-related endeavor, but remember that BJ’s is a pizza joint so these puppies usually bake in a cranked-up pizza oven.
Hi Jen!
I have a standard size cast iron skillet. How would I adjust this recipe to fit my skillet?
Thanks! I can’t wait to try this recipe!
