If you are needing a great DIY Teacher Gift this Pencil Vase would be perfect. We made this adorable vase with some Dollar Store supplies and a flower arrangement from a discount store called Deals. This Teacher Appreciation gift was quite inexpensive and is going to be great for my son to give to his Spanish teacher this year. I love inexpensive Teacher gifts. I shared our other inexpensive Teacher Appreciation Gift “Thank you for Making us Smarties” Jar gift if you have yet to check out that gift idea. We still have quite a few DIY Teacher Gifts to make up this next week but this Pencil vase is too adorable for words.

DIY Teacher Gift: Pencil Vase

This DIY Teacher Gift Pencil Vase is so simple. You can grab a vase, a can or even a recycled jar. Then just glue your pencils around and add in some flowers. I did add on a quick ribbon to give it a bit more color.

Worked like a charm! My kindergarten graduate gave it to her teacher last day of school. I freshly cut some lilacs from the garden to poke inside. Excellent! Thanks!

I love the idea.. I am needing to make centerpieces that will later be donated to a children’s home. Do you know if the hot glue can be removed from the pencils without damaging the pencils?

Cute and easy idea! For an added bonus you could attach the tops of the flowers (with about 2in of the stem) to pens. Use green floral tape wrapped around the whole thing. Cute and useful, teachers always need pens!
