Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Meatballs

Last week, I scored a really great deal on frozen meatballs at my grocery. I stocked the freezer up with quite a few bags. It’s the time of year for them to run great sales on party type foods for game day. I am quite sure the stock that I purchased will be gobbled up way before the Super Bowl, lol.  I can never have enough frozen meatballs on hand. I use them for meatball hoagies, quick and easy Italian dinners, and for our Slow Cooker Party Meatballs that I usually make.

My go-to recipe is great but I was ready to try something a bit different and decided on these Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Meatballs. The flavors worked well with my frozen homestyle meatballs I purchased. We actually made them twice. We enjoyed them on Christmas Eve as an appetizer and then I made them again this week to enjoy over rice for a quick and easy dinner.

The honey garlic sauce is so super simple to make. The flavors that we added have just a hint of an Asian flare and blend so very well together. My family really enjoyed eating them right out of the crock with toothpicks for their appetizer. So they make a great party food to serve to guests or even for an office party. Everyone loves party style meatballs. As a matter of fact, I do not think I have ever seen any party meatball leftovers, ha ha. For a quick and easy dinner, I served our Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Meatballs with some white rice. The sauce was great mixed with the rice. The family loved it. I liked that it made for a quick and inexpensive meal that I can make when I am pressed for time.

    1. Hi Chrissy! Yes, I started with precooked frozen meatballs. No need to thaw unless you are looking to speed up the cooking process.

  1. I made these over the holidays too. Very good! I made four times the sauce ingredients and used a big bag of meatballs from Sam’s Club. There were no leftovers from the birthday party.
