These Sour Patch Kids Cupcakes will be great to surprise the family with. I know my kiddos LOVE Sour Patch kids (I do as well). We have a sale on Sour Patch Kids at Walgreens this week and at Remke Next week so I thought it would be a great time to share these Sour Patch Kids Cupcakes we made this winter. Sour Patch Kids are the bomb in my eyes ha ha. I have always liked sour candy. Having a Sour Candy with a cupcake seems perfect to me. My kiddos and I will make a batch of cupcakes almost every week. Cupcakes are always an item that goes fast in our house. These ones went SUPER fast. The colors are so bright and fun, the fun sour candy taste mixed with the cupcakes was great.

Sour Patch Kids Cupcakes Recipe

This Sour Patch Kids Cupcakes Recipe would be great to have for kids birthday parties, picnics this summer or just a fun twist on a cupcake dessert for your family. Last week while I was shopping I ran through the bakery. I had planned to pick the kiddos up some cupcakes for after dinner. I had sticker shock, ha ha! $6 for a small tray of cupcakes. NO WAY! I came home and made a batch of cupcakes. I refused to spend that much on store bought cupcakes.

  1. I made these for my son’s 6th birthday and they were a hit! Not sure why but the citric acid/ sugar mix took the color out of only the electric pink frosting, but the kids didn’t seem to mind :-)
