Copycat Nutella Recipe

If you are a fan of Nutella you are going enjoy making your own CopyCat Nutella at home. My daughter loves Nutella and was asking last week if I could make homemade nutella. She has seen us create so many copycat recipes and now thinks that everything can be made at home, ha ha! I surprised her with a mason jar filled with yummy homemade nutella for her toast. She was super excited to give it a try. I enjoy nutella occasionally but she is our big nutella fan. I thought it tasted just like the real thing. I was anxious to hear her thoughts on how well our homemade nutella was. She was amazed at how tasty it was and continued to layer her toast. She then came back for seconds. So… I am thinking this Copycat nutella recipe is a keeper.
Copycat Nutella Recipe
I have a few recipes that I am planning to use nutella as the main ingredient. I am hoping she doesn’t finish off this batch before I can make a recipe or two!
Making your own CopyCat Nutella is quite simple. The receipe calls for lots of chocolate and of course hazelnuts. This recipe is quite simple and comes together in very little time.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cup raw Hazelnuts
1 1/2 cup Milk
3/4 cup Powdered Milk
1 tbsp Honey
1 cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 400.
Spread hazelnuts onto cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes.
Put nuts in dishtowel and rub to remove skins.
Place nuts in food processor and run until they turn to paste.
Combine the milk, powdered milk and honey in a pan.
Heat over medium until it begins to boil stirring frequently.
Remove from the heat.
Melt chocolate chips by microwaving for 30 seconds then stirring and repeating until smoth and melted.
Pour the melted chocolate into the ground hazelnuts and continue grinding until blended (scrape down sides periodically).
Add the milk mixture and continue processing until smooth.

Seems like really good recipe. I have never seen Nutella or look alike to have more than 13% of hazelnuts.
Do you keep this in the pantry or the refrigerator?
