Brownies
- 1 box Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake Mix
- 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 Egg beaten
- 1/4 cup Milk
Frosting
- 4 oz Cream Cheese softened
- 4 oz Butter softened
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 1/2 Powdered Sugar
- 1-2 tbsp Milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Put cake mix in a large bowl and use a spoon or spatula to mix in the oil and egg.
Then add the milk slowly just until the batter is combined – you want it to remain as dense as possible.
Place batter in a greased 8×8 pan or 8-inch cake pan and bake for 24-26 minutes.
Let cool for at least 60 minutes before cutting/frosting because the gooey center needs to set.
Beat together butter and cream cheese in a medium bowl.
Add in the vanilla extract and the powdered sugar 1/2 cup at a time, while beating.
If the frosting gets too thick add a little milk as needed.
Spread frosting in an even layer over the cooled brownies.
