Peach Bread

This Peach Bread is a delicious recipe that uses fresh peaches. It's an easy quick bread recipe loaded with diced ripe peaches. Then, it's topped with a simple sweet glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cup Peaches diced
  • 2 cup Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Glaze

  • 2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Grease a 9x5" loaf pan and set aside.
  • Roughly dice peaches and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another medium bowl, combine sugar, milk, oil, egg, and vanilla by stirring.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the peaches.
  • Pour into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out dry.
  • Allow the bread to cool for 10 minutes in pan. Then, transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
  • In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk and mix until smooth.
  • Drizzle over the cooled bread.

Notes

Avoid over-mixing the Peach Bread batter. Simply use a spatula to combine the ingredients. There is no need for a stand mixer.
