Servings: 2.25 cups
- 1 cup Butter softened
- 3 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 3-4 tbsp Heavy Cream
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- pinch Salt
In a large Bowl, use a hand mixer to beat butter at medium until creamy.
Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla and salt.
Beat on low for a minute until sugar and cocoa are incorporated. Continue beating on medium high for 3 minutes.
Add cream and beat until desired consistency is reached.
- Use room temperature butter. Not too soft, not too hard. If too soft, you will have a much greasier frosting.
- Whip the butter until light in color, fluffy in texture.
- Sift the powdered sugar and chocolate to avoid any lumping in the buttercream frosting.
- Add milk in small amounts until reaching your desired consistency.
