Butter Swim Biscuits

These Butter Swim Biscuits are buttermilk biscuits that are baked in a pan of butter. You will find the crispy crust and the soft and fluffy insides irresistible. Since they require just 6 simple ingredients, they are easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter melted
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 cup Buttermilk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450.
  • Put the melted butter into an 8x8" baking dish. Set aside.
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a medium bowl.
  • Gradually add the buttermilk and stir until it just comes together.
  • Transfer the dough into the dish with melted butter using a spatula to evenly spread the dough to the sides.
  • Cut/score the dough into 9 pieces.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until the top has browned.
  • Allow to cool a bit and absorb butter before re-cutting.

Notes

For the BEST Swim Butter Biscuits make sure the dry ingredients are whisked together well.
