Baked Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip

This Baked Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip is definitely for cheese lovers. It's ooey, gooey, cheesy, sweet and tangy, and so easy to make ahead. You have officially found the best holiday dip recipe for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese room temperature
  • 2 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese grated (divided)
  • 1 cup Cranberry Sauce
  • ½ cup Cranberries

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Lightly grease a small baking dish. Set aside.
  • Whip cream cheese until fluffy.
  • Mix 1 3/4 cups of shredded cheese until combined.
  • Stir in the cranberry sauce and the fresh cranberries.
  • Spoon the mixture into prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar over the top.
  • Bake 30-35 minutes until dip is bubbly.
  • Place under broiler for a couple of minutes to brown (watch closely).

Notes

Grate your cheese at home. Skip the bagged stuff that includes anti-caking agents, it will not melt and taste as good as freshly grated.
It's important to allow your cream cheese to soften to room temperature. It needs to be able to be whipped to a creamy texture.
I used a 6x9 baking dish, choose a similar sized oven safe dish for your dip.
This recipe will feed roughly 8-12 people. If you are serving a large crowd, go ahead and double or triple the recipe.
Prepare your dip ahead of time. Have it ready to bake for up to a week ahead.
Add additional flavors like: a touch of orange juice and zest for a citrus spin, diced jalapeños or red pepper flakes for spice, herbs like thyme, rosemary or sage for additional savory, or nuts like pecans or walnuts for a crunch and flavor.
Serve your hot dip when it is fresh from the oven.
