Apple Pie Baked Beans

Ingredients

  • 21 oz Apple Pie Filling 1 can
  • 10 oz Bacon
  • 1 small Onion Diced
  • 1 cup Bourbon BBQ Sauce I used Stubb's Hickory Bourbon
  • 45 oz Pork and Beans 3 cans

Instructions

  • Chop pie filling into small pieces. Set aside.
  • Cut raw bacon into bite sized pieces.
  • Preheat oven to 325.
  • In an oven safe skillet, fry bacon over medium heat until crispy.
  • Remove bacon to a paper towel lined plate and drain excess fat from pan.
  • Add onions to pan and cook until translucent.
  • Add pie filling to pan and stir until well mixed.
  • Add BBQ sauce and bacon to pan and stir until well mixed.
  • Add beans to pan and stir until well mixed.
  • Place pan in oven for 30 minutes.

Notes

If your beans seem a bit to sweet, add about one tablespoon of yellow or dijon mustard.
