Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs (Aldi Meal)

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 lb Boneless Skinless hicken Thighs
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Pepper
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper FLakes
  • 12 oz Frozen Broccoli
  • 2 cup uncooked White Rice
  • 4 cup Water

Instructions

  • Trim any excess fat off of chicken.
  • Add flour, salt, pepper, onion powder and chili powder to a zippered storage bag and shake to mix.
  • Whisk egg and milk together in a bowl to make an egg wash.
  • Heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Shake each piece of chicken in flour to coat. Shake off excess.
  • Dip each piece of coated chicken in egg wash and then re-shake in flour mix.
  • Brown chicken on each side for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  • Add butter, brown sugar, honey, garlic and red pepper flakes to skillet and heat until melted and bubbling
  • Add chicken back to skillet. Cover and place in oven for 10 minutes.
  • Add 4 cups water to a pan and bring to a boil.
  • Add rice to water. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 inutes. Turn off heat and leave covered for 5 minutes.
  • Turn chicken, cover and return to oven for 15 minutes.
  • Microwave broccoli according to bag directions.
