Christmas M&M Cookies
If you need cookies for Santa this year, these Christmas M&M Cookies are his favorite. The dough resembles that of chocolate chip cookies but, instead of chips, we add red and green M&M candies. Kids, and St. Nick will love them!
Servings 20 Cookies
- 1/2 cup Butter softened
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 1 Egg
- 1 1/2 cups Flour
- 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/3 tsp Salt
- 2 cup red and green M&M's divided
In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar and sugar until creamy.
Add in vanilla and the egg. Beat until incorporated. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt by whisking.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet while beating.
Fold in 1 1/2 cup of M&M's into the dough.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Scoop out heaping tablespoon sized pieces of dough, form into ball and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Add a few of the remaining M&M's onto the top of each cookie and gently press in place.
Bake for about 10 minutes. Look for golden brown edges around the cookie (they may look slightly undercooked).
Allow to cool on the cookie sheet.
