Ingredients

Brownies

  • 1 box Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake Mix
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • 1/4 cup Milk

Frosting

  • 4 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 4 oz Butter softened
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 Powdered Sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp Milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Put cake mix in a large bowl and use a spoon or spatula to mix in the oil and egg.
  • Then add the milk slowly just until the batter is combined – you want it to remain as dense as possible.
  • Place batter in a greased 8×8 pan or 8-inch cake pan and bake for 24-26 minutes.
  • Let cool for at least 60 minutes before cutting/frosting because the gooey center needs to set.
  • Beat together butter and cream cheese in a medium bowl.
  • Add in the vanilla extract and the powdered sugar 1/2 cup at a time, while beating.
  • If the frosting gets too thick add a little milk as needed.
  • Spread frosting in an even layer over the cooled brownies.
