Ingredients

  • 1 box White Cake Mix
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3 Egg Whites
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 4 tsp Vanilla Extract divided
  • 13 tbsp Butter divided
  • 3 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 2 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  • Grease a 9x13" baking dish and set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Prepare the cake as directed on the cake box using the prepared pan.
  • Allow the cake to cool until slightly warm.
  • Poke holes all over the cake with the handle of a wooden spoon.
  • In a large measuring cup or microwave-safe bowl, combine 5 tablespoons of butter, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, brown sugar, cinnamon, and sweetened condensed milk.
  • Stir until all the ingredients are combined. Microwave for 45 seconds then stir.
  • Repeat until all clumps are dissolved.
  • Pour the mixture evenly over the top of the cake.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until fluffy.
  • Add the 8 tablespoons of butter and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and beat until blended (scraping down sides as needed).
  • Add the powdered sugar about one half a cup at a time, until incorporated.
  • Spread the frosting over the cake and smooth.

Notes

Be sure to use the egg white suggestion on your cake mix instructions to keep a whiter cake for better color contrast.
