Chocolate Banana Bread

Chocolate Banana Bread is a great way to use up leftover bananas and get a moist, delicious, and chocolate treat. This recipe is so easy too!

Ingredients

  • 3 large Bananas overripe
  • 1/4 cup Butter melted
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips divided

Instructions

  • Heat your oven to 350.
  • Line a 9x5" loaf pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Mash the ripe bananas with a fork in a large bowl.
  • Add the butter and oil and stir with the fork until combined.
  • Add the sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix well.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  • Stir until just combined (don't over mix).
  • Fold in 1 1/4 cup of the chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake for 45-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
  • Set pan on a cooling rack for 15 minutes before removing from pan to finish cooling.
