Heat your oven to 350.
Line a 9x5" loaf pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
Mash the ripe bananas with a fork in a large bowl.
Add the butter and oil and stir with the fork until combined.
Add the sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix well.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
Stir until just combined (don't over mix).
Fold in 1 1/4 cup of the chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips on top.
Bake for 45-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
Set pan on a cooling rack for 15 minutes before removing from pan to finish cooling.
