  • 8 medium Potatoes diced
  • 16 oz Cubed Ham
  • 3 Carrots peeled and sliced
  • 1 Onion diced
  • 2 stalks Celery sliced
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp cold Water
  • 1 1/2 cups Heavy Cream you can use milk if desired


  • Add the potatoes, ham, carrot, onion and celery to slow cooker.
  • Add salt and pepper. Then add chicken broth and cook on high for 4 hours or on low 8 hours.
  • Lightly mash part of the potatoes to help thicken soup.
  • In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water and stir until blended.
  • Add cornstarch mixture and stir to combine.
  • Add heavy cream and stir until blended.
  • Leave uncovered and cook on high for another 30 minutes.
