Baked Apple Pork Chops

These Baked Apple Pork Chops are a super simple family dinner idea. The perfect recipe for fall. The apple compliments the pork so well. You can use Boneless or Bone-in Pork Chops.

Ingredients

  • 4 lb Bone In Pork Chops or 3 lb Boneless
  • 3 medium Granny Smith Apples cored and sliced
  • 1 medium Onion diced
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider or Apple Juice
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Sage

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • Melt butter in large skillet over medium high heat.
  • Season both sides of each pork chop with salt, pepper and sage.
  • Sear both sides of each chop until brown and set on a deep baking sheets.
  • In a small bowl add cider and brown sugar and whisk until dissolved.
  • Add onion, apples and cider mixture to skillet and stir to loosen browned bits from bottom of skillet. Stir until combined,
  • Simmer over medium low heat for 10 minutes, until apples start to soften.
  • Spoon apple mixture over pork chops in baking sheets and bake for 20 minutes.
