Red Hot Cinnamon Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 box White Cake Mix
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 3 Eggs
  • 9 oz Red Hots Candy
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 cup softened Butter
  • 3 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • Red Food Coloring optional
  • Valentine Sprinkle Decorations

Instructions

  • Crush Red Hots in food processor until nearly powder
  • Make cupcakes according to box directions except add half of crushed Red Hots to batter.
  • After baking move to wire rack to cool completely.
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter.
  • Mix in the sugar and remaining crushed Red Hots.
  • If color is not pink enough for you, add several drops of red food coloring.
  • Beat in the milk mixing until fluffy.
  • Transfer icing to the corner of large size zipper bag, try to minimize trapped air and close. Clip a small piece off the corner to pipe.
  • Ice the top of each cupcake.
  • You can top with Valentine sprinkles to add flair.
