Slow Cooker Cocktail Wieners

During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, we are always making lots of different appetizers to enjoy. We also like to enjoy party appetizers during Super Bowl and other game days. Finding a finger type food that everyone loves is always a goal for me. The ones that disappear quickly, I know are keepers. I like to make little smokies, wieners, and our Slow Cooker Party Meatballs because everyone really likes them.

I have always been a fan of little smokies and little wieners. You can make them so many different ways just by using different sauces to get some additional combinations. My family LOVES my Red Hot Chicken recipe. I make it very often for dinner. The sauce is so simple and gives just the right amount of kick.

These Slow Cooker Cocktail Wieners were an idea that my hubby and my son really wanted to try. They think  the red hot sauce I make is the best. So I decided to use our same sauce but with a bit of added ketchup to make them not too spicy. We have tried the sauce with party meatballs, little smokies, and then my personal favorite, little wieners. I have served them so many of times when we have had guests over. They disappear and EVERYONE asks for the recipe. They are really that gosh darn good.

The recipe for our Red Hot Party Wieners is so simple. You just mix up your sauce and toss it all in your slow cooker for a couple hours. Like I mentioned, this sauce is great with little smokies if you prefer those or with wieners. If you are a meatball fan, go ahead and use your frozen meatballs but they make need to cook a bit longer. I used my little dip type slow cooker when I was making this batch. The recipe works great with a larger Crock-Pot too. You will want to double up the recipe if you are serving a very large crowd because they will disappear quite quickly.

Loved the recipe! i used sriracha sauce instead of the franks hot sauce, and i only used half of the suggested amount, but it was still too spicy for me! Next time i’d only put 1/8 cup
