I am sure you have made hard boiled eggs before that are not cooked right and were almost impossible to peel. Let that fail be a thing of the past when you make up to a dozen eggs ate one time. You can have them cooked, peeled, and ready to enjoy in less than 30 minutes. Only need to cook one or two hard boiled eggs? This recipe works perfect for one or 12 hard boiled eggs.

When we cook the eggs in the pressure cooker, they all cook up perfectly even. Adding the eggs to a bath of ice water to cool them down makes them so super simple to peel. No more ugly looking eggs.

Making Perfect Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs will speed up the Easter egg decorating and is perfect for the deviled egg recipes you like to make for parties. Make a half batch to slice for your potato and macaroni salads. It’s also great for making a couple eggs to chop and enjoy on top of your green salads.

To make Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs in your Instant Pot, all you will need is eggs, water, and ice. With 5 minutes of cook time, 5 minutes of release, and 15 or so minutes in an ice bath, the recipe is so easy. A tip that I suggest is to make sure you place your eggs in the ice bath as soon as you have released your pressure. I also find to peel the eggs perfectly, it is easiest to run them under cool water to release the membrane quickly.

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE HARD BOILED EGGS IN THE INSTANT POT

12 Eggs
1 cup Water
2 cup Ice

HOW TO MAKE PERFECT HARD BOILED EGGS IN THE INSTANT POT

Place steamer basket or trivet in Instant Pot.
Place eggs and add water.
Cook on High Pressure for 5 minutes.
Allow to sit for 5 minutes then quick release.
Carefully transfer eggs to bowl filled with ice and water.
Allow to cool until able to handle.
Peel under running water.

Ingredients 

  • 12 Eggs
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 cup Ice

Instructions 

  • Place steamer basket or trivet in Instant Pot.
  • Place eggs and add water.
  • Cook on High Pressure for 5 minutes.
  • Allow to sit for 5 minutes then quick release.
  • Carefully transfer eggs to bowl filled with ice and water.
  • Allow to cool until able to handle.
  • Peel under running water.

    OMG!!! I was pretty skeptical about some of the eggs coming out without being busted open but, all 12 were PERFECT!!! And so so easy to peel!! Definitely using this recipe from now on!!!!

    Turned out perfect for deviled eggs. A couple did crack but that happens when I cook them on the stovetop too. Hard boiled eggs have never peeled so easily! Thanks for sharing!
