Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Balls Ingredients

You’re not going to need many ingredients for these Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Balls- it’s a quick, 5 ingredient recipe. If you like making no bake desserts and candy recipes, you’ll probably have most of these ingredients- maybe all of them- already. Here’s all you’ll need in case you’re missing anything:

Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Balls Ingredients
  • Butter– unsalted or salted will work just fine.
  • Peanut Butter – Creamy peanut butter is probably going to work out best for this recipe. You’re more than welcome to try using crunchy peanut butter though- maybe the added crunch makes your Rice Krispie Balls even better! Let us know if you try the crunchy version.
  • Rice Krispies Cereal – Or whatever name-brand crispy rice or rice crisps cereal they sell at your store. You can also try making this recipe with Cocoa Krispies for added chocolate flavor. Optionally crush Rice Krispies beforehand if you want your end product to be a little less crunchy.
  • Powdered Sugar – Or confectioners sugar, icing sugar, or whatever else you might call it. Just avoid granulated sugar here.
  • Melting Chocolate – If you know what you’re doing, you can try using normal chocolate here. Try using 2 Cups of chocolate chips with 2 Tablespoons of shortening. Then microwave in 3o minute increments. But, chocolate chips will not normally harden like chocolate melting wafers. They will not achieve the smoothest texture you will want for your balls. It’s just going to be much easier to work with melting wafers for this recipe. I prefer to use the Ghirardelli brand as it’s both tasty and smooth. The wafer versions are now available at most grocery store chains.

Freezing: If you want long term storage, consider the freezer. Transfer the candy balls into a freezer-safe container or freezer bag and squeeze out as much excess air as possible. Keep frozen for 2-3 months and let thaw in the fridge before enjoying.
