Steak Fajitas

When we hit our favorite Mexican restaurant, I am always quick to order my favorite Sizzling Steak Fajitas. The spicy steak with peppers and onions are just perfect loaded inside a flour tortilla. I pile on the lettuce, cheese, and salsa to make them perfect.

Since Steak Fajitas are my favorite and also a hit with the rest of my family, I decided we would enjoy a Sizzling Steak Fajitas dinner at home. I headed to Aldi to grab all the items that were needed for this meal. It was an on the fly dinner idea so I did not have the beef on hand. It actually worked out well because I spotted a red markdown sticker on a bottom round roast. Beef has become so expensive so I was happy to find some for a bit less expense.

I mentioned that all of the ingredients for this meal were purchased from Aldi. Over the next couple of months, I am planning to share a bunch of inexpensive Aldi meals with all of you. EVERYTHING for the meal will be bought from Aldi. Obviously you can purchase your items elsewhere, but I plan to challenge myself with creating unique and tasty Aldi Meals to help with our grocery budget.

The total price of this Aldi Steak Fajita Meal was $12.33. Plus it served my large family. Obviously I did not include pricing for basic staples that should be found in your pantry.

The recipe comes together quite quickly and really packs in some serious Mexican flavor with the addition of the spices. The longer you marinate your beef, the more tender your steak will become.

You will need a bottom round roast or other cut of beef, peppers (we used a red and a yellow), an onion, and flour tortillas. We also added on lettuce and cheese.

I was really impressed on how far the beef stretched with this meal. It always costs us a small fortune. So, enjoying our favorite Mexican Restaurant dishes at home will save our large family a bundle.

  1. Aldis is a great place to shop. Especially now that they are bringing in more and more organic products for a great price. The fruits and vegetables are good too, you just have to check to make sure they are ok before you buy them.

  2. I love shopping at Aldi! I load up my thirty one organizer bags, grab my list, & hit the road. I’m pinning this meal. I love fajitas too, these are so pretty with the colors of the peppers.
